Description
The WPS100 Grand Award ‘platter’ CAL design was produced with the word ‘PALMARES’ as a self-adhesive stamp.
One hundred of these were mounted on the covers of the WPS100 Awards List, postmarked with the Saturday 12 November show postmark and were presented to those at the awards dinner that evening. We had not been able to sell all the Palmares tickets and this product represents the remainder.
Because of the expected demand we are limiting the sale of the Awards List cover to ONE PER CUSTOMER.
One additional sheet (50) of mint ‘PALMARES’ stamps were sold as Lot #5 at the Palmares Auction. These 50 are the ONLY mint versions of the CAL that exist. Anyone interested in obtaining a mint copy should contact stamps@stampcollecta.com
